What our interns have to say about DCAT
Danvers Cable Access Television

“In regards to my overall experience working at DCAT I would like to say that I really enjoyed my time there. I was initially very nervous to begin however, the staff was extremely helpful and patient throughout my three weeks there. The hands on experience working in the studio on live shows and pre-recorded shows was amazing. All around the intership program DCAT provides is a great experience for those looking to get into this field.”

- James Donovan, Endicott College

Danvers Cable Access Television

"After five weeks at Danvers Community Access Television, I can conclude that the entire experience has been excellent and has allowed me to expand my skills within the communications department. I would have never imagined to be leaving this internship with as much knowledge on field equipment, editing software, filming techniques, writing techniques and many more aspects that I have retained. Overall, I feel as though I will be able to take the lessons and techniques that I learned from DCAT and use them in the real world whether it is in college, or in my future career."

- Kirsten McDonald, Masconomet High School

Danvers Cable Access Television

"My internship experience at DCAT has been invaluable to say the least. The staff has been so helpful in teaching me new things, as well as challenging me to be the best I can be. DCAT offers not only a genuine office experience, they also get you out in the Danvers community working in a multitude of real life situations. If you're looking for a challenging, fun, valuable and worthy internship experience, DCAT is the place to be!"

-Grant Thompson, Endicott College

Danvers Cable Access Television

“DCAT has expanded my knowledge on the world of television, how and what makes public access a success, how broad the field of communication is and how it is far from boring, and that working can be fun if you have the right attitude, and you listen and are willing to listen to others. I started my internship with just the things I have learned in class the past three years, and left with a full heart, an overflowing brain full of television knowledge, confidence in my creative abilities, and ideas that are just beginning to grow and will CONTINUE to grow because of the work I completed at DCAT and the lessons I have been taught. I thank the staff from the bottom of my heart. A three week internship is far too short. I will be back.

-Liz Licht, Endicott College,

Danvers Cable Access Television

“My internship at DCAT was hands-down one of the best experiences of my life. If you want to work at a place where you can obtain invaluable real-life experience while working with the most helpful people around, an internship here is most definitely in your best interest. If you don’t, well, you can just stop reading now. DCAT provided me with so many of the necessary tools I will need to use to guide me through the next chapter of my life in media production.”
